Welcome to Chadwick International
Education at Chadwick International is an ongoing adventure that transforms bright students into extraordinary global citizens. Each day, our students are exposed to a wondrous world of opportunities that foster academic excellence, personal growth and individual self-expression.
Guided by passionate instructors, an inclusive community and our Core Values of Respect, Responsibility, Honesty, Fairness and Compassion, students develop self-confidence, rich character and a deep love of learning. They also become internationally-minded individuals. For Chadwick students, school is much more than a place to learn — it’s where they get to experience, expand and become the very best versions of themselves.
A prominent global presence
The Chadwick International campus sits in the heart of Songdo — a groundbreaking smart city designed and built entirely from scratch. Conveniently located just 30 kilometers southwest of Seoul, Songdo is part of Korea’s thriving business hub, the Incheon Free Economic Zone. Since its inception in 2010, thousands of Pre-K through Grade 12 students from around the world have enjoyed an exceptional educational experience at Chadwick International.
Founded in 1935 by pioneering educator and visionary, Margaret Chadwick, our sister campus, The Chadwick School (K-12), has celebrated over 80 years of educational milestones. While each school is unique, they share the same mission, philosophy and Core Values. Exchanges for students and staff between campuses means even more opportunities and connections to a worldwide community.
The Roessler-Chadwick Foundation operates two schools on opposite sides of the globe — Chadwick International School in Songdo, South Korea, and Chadwick School in Palos Verdes, California, U.S.A. — and our reach continues to expand.
Chadwick’s curriculums are designed to help students excel intellectually and emotionally in order to prepare them for whatever their future path presents. Our philosophy of self-discovery through experience means that students don’t just memorize information, they learn by doing things firsthand. They develop the courage to try new things, make mistakes, reflect and apply what they’ve learned. In the process, they develop character and become confident, well-rounded people who aren’t afraid to be bold in their endeavors.
An extraordinary faculty
Chadwick International teachers come from all over the world excited to play a profound role in shaping the lives of our students. Over 80 percent hold advanced degrees and many have taught abroad. Students see their teachers as mentors who partner in their education, guide their growth and care deeply about their success and well-being. We’re extremely selective and take great care to ensure that they’re not only qualified, but genuinely passionate about being here.
A community you can call home
When you attend Chadwick International, you’re a Dolphin for life! We teach students and their families that while each of them is powerful in their own right, together, they are unstoppable. We live that example everyday as our remarkable community of parents, teachers and staff come together to ensure the success and happiness of our students.

The ultimate educational playground
Every corner of CI’s 17-acre campus is overflowing with opportunities for experiential learning and self-expression. Every day, students discover and develop new passions and skills that make learning an exciting adventure. Whether designing an alarm sensor in the Makerspace lab, growing sustainable vegetables in the garden, conducting an ensemble music piece in the main theater, strategizing a victorious play on the soccer field or recording school news in the TV studio, the lessons they learn on campus stay with them for life.
