School Night

Dear Parents,
Welcome to our first ever virtual Back to School Night. Traditionally, we welcome parents onto campus, get them to follow their child's schedule, meet their teachers and learn about their courses for the year.
This year we have endeavoured to achieve the same goals through the use of technology. We have planned some pre-recorded and some live sections for the evening. Please scroll down to view the programme for the evening.
From 5.00 - 5.30pm, time has been allocated for parents to view pre-recorded Flipgrids. Teachers have made these to introduce themselves and talk about their courses. You may watch these at any time prior to the evening.
At 5.30pm Mr. Russell McGrath will welcome you in a live address. The IB programme coordinators will introduce their programmes and the format of the evening will be explained.
From 6.00 - 7.15pm, teachers will be available live on Zoom meetings. The first session is to meet your child's advisor. We hope all parents can attend the advisory session.
The following three sessions are structured more as a drop-in question and answer session with teachers. If you have follow-up questions about the course or expectations after viewing the Flipgrids, this is the time to connect with the teacher. We ask you to prioritise the teachers you need to meet with during this time.
We request that individual students are not discussed at this time. If you need to speak with a teacher about your child, please email them to request a meeting at another time.
Your child is most welcome to join you and assist with translation if required.

처음 온라인으로 진행되는 Back to School Night에 오신 것을 환영합니다. 이전에는 학부모님들이 캠퍼스에서 자녀의 시간표에 따라 교사들을 만나고 1년 동안의 전반적인 과정에 대해 배우는 시간을 가졌습니다.
올해는 테크놀러지를 활용해서 이와 같이 진행하고자 합니다. 사전녹화와 실시간 세션을 준비했습니다. 행사 프로그램을 보시려면 아래로 스크롤 하십시오.
오후 5시 부터 5시 30분 까지는 사전 녹화된 Flipgrid를 볼 수 있는 시간입니다. 교사들이 자신을 소개하고 담당 과목을 설명합니다. 행사 이전까지 언제든 시청 가능합니다.
오후 5시 30분에는 생방송으로 Russell McGrath 교장선생님의 환영 인사가 있을 예정이며, IB 프로그램 코디네이터들이 각 프로그램을 소개하고 행사 형식에 대해 설명할 예정입니다.
오후 6시부터 7시 15분까지 교사들과 라이브로 Zoom 미팅이 가능합니다. 첫 번째 세션에서는 자녀의 advisor(담임)를 만나게 됩니다. 모든 학부모님이 advisory 세션에 참석하실 수 있기 를 바랍니다.
다음 세 개의 세션은 교사들과의 질의 응답 시간으로 구성될 것입니다. 혹시 Flipgrid를 시청하신 후에 궁금하신 사항이나 과목에 관한 질문이 있으시다면 이 시간을 활용하시면 좋습니다. 사전에 만나고 싶은 교사들을 생각해 두시기 바랍니다.
이 시간에 개별 학생에 관한 상담은 이루어지지 않습니다. 자녀에 대하여 상담을 원하시는 학부모님께서는 교사에게 따로 메일을 보내 상담 날짜를 요청하시기 바랍니다.
통역이 필요하실 경우 자녀와 함께 참석하셔도 좋습니다.
