Introduction

Student-led conferences are the chance to empower students to lead a conversation about their learning and progress over the year. Students set academic goals in January to target specific learning skills for the remainder of the school year. Development of these learning skills will hopefully move them closer to exhibiting the traits of the IB Learner Profile. They have been documenting their journey of growth and progress in reaching their goals in an e-portfolio.

Students will use the Individual Yearbook or e-Portfolio as a visual tool to discuss with their parents and their advisor the successes they have experienced during the year, any challenges they have been addressing, and/or any memorable moments that resonate with them.

Parents are encouraged to ask questions so their children can explain how they learn and how they are taking increased responsibility for their learning.

If required, bilingual students can conduct conferences in English as well as the language that is spoken at home.

Meeting Guidelines & Etiquette

Signing in to Zoom

When you sign in to Zoom, please change your sign-in name (in English) to your child's name. All family members are asked to follow this procedure so that teachers know who to admit to their conference rooms.

Cameras and microphones

Please turn your camera and microphone on during the conference so everyone in the meeting can see each other. Conferences will not be recorded. Teachers can remove participants who do not have their cameras switched on.

We expect that students and parents/ family members may join the zoom call from different locations. You are welcome to share Zoom links or this website with anyone you would like to join the meeting.

필요하다면, 2개 국어를 구사하는 학생들은 가정에서 사용하는 언어와 영어를 모두 사용하여 컨퍼런스를 진행할 수 있습니다.

회의 지침 및 에티켓

줌 로그인

줌에 로그인 할 때, 로그인 이름(영문)을 자녀의 이름으로 변경하십시오. 모든 가족 구성원은 이 절차를 따라야 교사들이 컨퍼런스에 누가 입장하는지 알 수 있습니다.

카메라 및 마이크

모든 사람이 서로를 볼 수 있도록 컨퍼런스 중에는 카메라와 마이크를 켜십시오. 컨퍼런스는 녹음되지 않습니다. 교사는 카메라가 켜져있지 않은 참가자의 입장을 허가하지 않을 수 있습니다.

Sign-ups will be opened at 8am on March 29th.

For this event, we are using a service called "Calendly" which will allow you to directly book an appointment with your child's advisor. Below you can find all of the advisors' links. Please find your child's advisor and book an appointment with him or her.
