Friday, Feb. 19 2021 Principal Ms. Jacqui Cameron Dear Middle School Families,
Happy Lunar New Year to you all. I hope that you have enjoyed a memorable break with your children, and I hope that you were able to have some beautiful time together with your family. I enjoyed those days with my three sons and the beautiful warmer weather.
During the break, I had a bit of time to reflect on this past year and I thought about all of the challenges that this pandemic has presented us. There have been many for us as a school, as a community, and as individuals and families. As adults, we are the role models for our children and students during these times of change and challenge. I would like to thank you for continuing to preserve and uphold our school's Core Values during this pandemic. When I think about the support that each of us have given to our students, I am eternally grateful. Thank you for your support.
Working as a community, combining our efforts at home and school to support our students, has been happening for over a year now, and I am grateful for all of this support. Our students continue to learn and participate in their education, regardless of the circumstances. They could not do it without the support of you at home and our efforts here at school.
Thank you for all of the support you provide our Middle School students during this challenging time. We will persevere and get through it together.
Be well everyone. Jacqui Cameron Middle School Principal Upcoming Dates & Things to Note February Parent Coffee Meeting Our upcoming Virtual Parent Coffee Meeting will be on February 25 from noon to 1 p.m.

Please keep in mind that this plan could change, in which case you will be notified. Middle School Service Ms. Rosanna Luzarraga Smile MSA, a club that aims to spread happiness around the world, accomplished the "Smile Project" throughout trimester 1. Within this process, we have raised funds by selling custom products that we designed. Using the cash we earned, we organized and delivered COVID-19 prevention kits (antibacterial hand washes, hand sanitizers, hand sanitizing tissues and 100 masks) and a collage artwork printed on canvas to the Yangcheon Welfare Center for the disabled. In addition, we sent a recording of a thank you video and a Viva La Vida instrumental performance by all of our members. Chinese Class Happy Lunar New Year!
In our Chinese classes, we wrote lucky words in Chinese calligraphy, one of the new year traditions. We celebrated as a community and wished each other a great year of the Ox! The Chinese character "福" means happiness, blessing and good fortune. "春" means spring, as the Chinese Lunar New Year is called Chun Jie, and spring represents hope. With hope and blessings, we as a team can overcome any challenge.
We wish you all good health in the Year of the Ox, and that all your wishes come true!

Korea World University Fair 2021 The 2021 Korea World University Fair will be from March 2 - 7. Many of the same universities that participated in the virtual fair this past September will be participating again. The virtual fair will be hosted on the Cialfo website which is also our college counseling software. Middle School students received a registration email from Cialfo earlier this year. Cialfo does not set up accounts for Middle School parents, but you may log in through the student's account. If you search their email for "Cialfo" you should find the registration email. Once you are logged in, click on the "Events" tab on the left side. Click on the Korea World University Fair and register for any events that interest you.
Tuesday, March 2 - Friday, March 5: Admission officers will be available for students and parents to stop at their virtual booth at any time during the two hour session (just like an in-person college fair). University representatives will have information to share with you and be available to answer any questions that you might have. Information about the virtual fair and a list of suggested questions that you might want to ask the universities is available here. You may register for multiple sessions during the same time slot (these are treated like virtual office hours).
Saturday, March 6 - Sunday, March 7: There are special Information Sessions offered over the weekend covering a variety of topics.
Principal Ms. Jacqui Cameron
Jacqui Cameron Middle School Principal Upcoming Dates & Things to Note

Chinese Class
