This summer, after finishing graduate school, I wanted to tackle a classic novel. I decided to challenge myself by taking on the most classic of the classics: Leo Tolstoy[?]s "War and Peace." While I haven[?]t yet finished my readthrough of the book, I have already learned some valuable life lessons. Namely: patience. I say that half-jokingly, but the experience has been meditative as I have had to constantly refocus my attention while working through Tolstoy[?]s dense text. Perhaps not exactly what the author had in mind, but I prefer to believe that the meaning of art changes over time.
