Grade 6 students received their official welcome to Middle School with the BOOM experience. Students participated in two days of outdoor activities around campus and Songdo designed to help students build connections as they begin their Middle School career.
Relationships, community and a sense of belonging are key components of a Chadwick education. In its third year, BOOM aims to help incoming Grade 6 students develop trust with their classmates and Advisors through shared experiences. Highlights of the two-day orientation included biking through Songdo, kayaking in Songdo’s Northern Waterway, and participating in team building activities on campus.
While the program had to be adapted from previous years in order to meet physical distancing measures, students still had plenty of opportunities to bond with their classmates and teachers, challenge themselves, and have fun.
