Grade 7 individuals & societies students went on a global trip to Greece from February 12 to February 21, 2026. The group started the trip in Athens with guided tours of the Acropolis, the New Acropolis Museum, and the Ancient Agora. They then traveled to Delphi to visit the Temple of Apollo and to Olympia to explore the archaeological site and museum where the first Olympic Games were held.
Their trip continued to the Peloponnese region, including visits to the ancient ruins of Mycenae and the theater of Epidaurus. While based in Nafplion, students participated in a local farm visit and a hands-on cooking class. On the final day, they toured the Palamidi Fortress and the Corinth Canal.
This trip is a special opportunity for students to experience their individuals & societies unit about Ancient Greek Culture in person. They were able to enhance their learning through an in-depth look at ancient sites, learning about how the Ancient Greeks lived and their ancient culture, and how the values of the Ancient Greeks influence life today.
