Village School News

Village School students had the privilege of meeting Miranda Paul, the acclaimed author of "One Plastic Bag" and "Water is Water." The Main Theater was filled with excitement as the students engaged in an interactive talk, discovering more about Isatou Ceesay and the inspiring recycling women of the Gambia. Miranda Paul generously shared insights into her writing process and her personal journey as an author.

During classroom visits, our students showcased their curiosity by posing insightful questions such as, "What is your favorite book that you've written?" and "When did you write your first book?" Ms. Paul's response, revealing that she authored her first book in second grade, sparked a special connection with our Grade 2 students. They eagerly sought and received invaluable advice on writing, nurturing their own aspirations as budding authors.

As a memorable highlight, Ms. Paul graciously autographed books, leaving our students with cherished mementos to enjoy for years to come. The joy and inspiration that radiated from this experience will undoubtedly continue to resonate within our school community.
