Grade 12 DP psychology students taught Grade 3 about “ANTS: Automatic Negative Thinking Styles – and how to turn them into more positive thoughts.”

During this collaborative learning activity, G12 students mentored G3 to identify negative thinking styles (based on Beck’s Faulty Thinking Patterns), and find ways to challenge them and turn them into more positive ones. While the concepts covered in this activity were simplified to be developmentally appropriate for Grade 3, the activity is linked to Grade 12’s studies on Beck’s Faulty Thinking styles and Grade 3’s lesson on Coping Strategies.
