Dozens of new books were published earlier this month thanks to our very own Kindergarteners. Students wrote, illustrated and read their books to fellow students, teachers and staff as part of Publishing Day. Book topics included dinosaurs, dragons, animals, nature, skiing, birthdays and more.
Village School students have been working hard in their writing workshops to develop the skills and stamina it takes to become effective writers. Students have been studying the techniques and tools of real authors and illustrators as they work to become confident and thoughtful writers. These practices build on the training provided to teachers earlier this fall by international writing consultant Matt Glover.
