CI’s Grade 3 and Grade 4 VEX GO Robotics students are busy preparing for their spring robotics competition. They are hard at work in the VS makerspace, building and coding robots.

They have earned a variety of skill badges to learn how to code robots and perform tasks with different sensors. Now they are using The Three C’s: coding, collaboration, and creativity to program their robots to complete various tasks in our “Ocean Science Explorer” obstacle course.

The theme for spring robotics competition is ocean science explore, so the obstacle courses are  ocean-themed. Students operate their robot to complete tasks such as retrieving a pearl from a clam shell, fixing an underwater pipeline, adjusting water turbines, and moving “sensors” to the top of a volcano.

Let’s wish them good luck on their upcoming competition!
